Description

Kvarnhagen (Millfield) is a beautifully restored 18th-century farmhouse set in a scenic location on the edge of a forest, surrounded by open meadows and near a  river. This charming Swedish countryside retreat combines historic character with modern comfort, offering an ideal holiday home for those seeking nature, relaxation, and authentic rural living.
Carefully renovated, the house retains its original features while providing all the conveniences of contemporary living. Traditional details blend seamlessly with a bright, comfortable interior, creating a welcoming space for families, couples, or small groups looking for a countryside getaway in Halland.
Kvarnhagen is perfectly located for exploring some of Sweden’s most beautiful natural landscapes. Enjoy forest walks, cycling routes, and nearby lakes ideal for swimming and fishing. Canoes and rowing boats are available to hire in the area, making it easy to experience the surrounding waterways. A scenic cycle path runs past the house, following the river all the way to Falkenberg.
The popular coastal towns of Varberg and Falkenberg, known for their sandy beaches, restaurants, and seaside charm, are just 25 minutes away. Gothenburg is approximately a one-hour drive, while the well-known Gekås Ullared shopping centre is only 10 minutes by car or 20 minutes by bike.
The private garden offers a peaceful outdoor space with a large lawn, framed by trees and shrubs—perfect for relaxing, dining outdoors, or enjoying long summer evenings.
Nature lovers will appreciate the rich local wildlife. The surrounding area is home to a variety of animals and birdlife, and with a bit of luck, you may spot moose, deer, or other native species during your stay.

*Please note that the house is small with low ceilings. Very tall people or large people ( we mean this kindly) may find it unsuitable.
